I have sculpted in clay a monumental female figure whose body is enmeshed in a landscape of organic and digital debris. The landscape is created from photographs that I have taken, disassembled digitally and recontextualized into a speculative space. Neon shards pierce the figure, representing invasive elements of consumer culture and suggesting themes of surveillance and digital commodification. My intention is to reveal how her body, once a vessel of agency, now feels mired in material and immaterial excess, a reflection of how consumerism colonizes even the innermost self.
