Passing By (After Cezanne)

impressionistic digital fine art printmaking by ellen scobie

Paper 16×20 inches
Edition of 10

I have used my signature technique to reinterpret Cezanne’s painting, Bords d’une riviere (Riverbanks), 1904-5.

The French Impressionist artists from the late-19th century were innovators seeking a new way of painting to capture the ephemeral quality of light. I have long been an admirer of Impressionist art and I also strive to find new ways to capture fleeting moments in time.
